Yes. Today's Recipes is a local-first app. Your recipes, photos, and personal data are stored on your device. We use advertisements to support our development, which may use limited device identifiers for ad personalization, but we never access your personal recipe content.

How do I back up my recipes?

You can use iCloud Backup for your device to ensure all app data is safe. We are also working on a manual export feature for future updates.

Can I share recipes with friends?

Yes! You can share your "Today's Menu" as a beautiful image card directly from the app.

At Today's Recipes, we believe your data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Data Collection and Storage

We operate on a "Local-First" basis. All your recipes, menus, shopping lists, and photos are stored strictly on your device. We do not transmit your personal data to any external servers.

2. App Permissions

The app may request the following permissions to function correctly:

Camera: To verify your recipes by taking photos of your dishes.
Photo Library: To select existing photos for recipes or to save your Menu Card images.
Notifications: To send you alerts when your cooking timers finish.

3. Third-Party Services

We prioritize your privacy. However, we use the following trusted third-party services to support app functionality and development:

Google Firebase: Used for secure hosting, infrastructure, and diagnostic purposes. Firebase may collect metadata to ensure service stability.
Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain data (like your device's IDFA) to show relevant ads.

4. Advertisements and IDFA Tracking

To keep the app free or low-cost, we display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. These services may use your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) to provide personalized advertising experiences.

Your Control: You can choose whether to allow this tracking through the iOS "App Tracking Transparency" prompt when you first open the app. You can also change your preference at any time in your iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
